Use Buy&Ship's public prices on 9 October 2026 to work through Hong Kong forwarding: weight, pickup, the fuel surcharge, size limits, storage and the free-cover claim. The checkout quote controls.
Public pickup and delivery prices on 9 October 2026
| Route | Collection | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| Overseas warehouse | Lai Chi Kok pickup | HK$24 a pound |
| Overseas warehouse | Other Buy&Ship pickup points | HK$27 a pound |
| Overseas warehouse | SF point, SF locker or OK store | HK$32 a pound |
| Overseas warehouse | Cainiao pickup | HK$32 a pound |
| Overseas warehouse | Post office | HK$34 a pound |
| Overseas warehouse | Business delivery | HK$32 a pound; HK$20 extra per residential or remote order; outlying islands not served |
| China forwarding | Buy&Ship pickup | HK$10 for the first 2 pounds, then HK$5 a pound |
| China forwarding | SF or Cainiao | HK$36 for the first 2 pounds, then HK$12 a pound |
Prices are from the Buy&Ship pricing page and include forwarding plus the collection or delivery in that row. China and overseas parcels cannot be combined. Checkout can differ from this table.
A labelled example: 3 pounds from the United States
Take a parcel from the US warehouse with a chargeable weight of exactly 3.0 pounds, collected at Lai Chi Kok, while the HK$1-a-pound fuel surcharge still applies. The pricing-page arithmetic is 3 × 24, which is HK$72, plus 3 × 1 of fuel, which is HK$3. The illustration totals HK$75.
This is an example, not a quote. If rounding makes the chargeable weight 3.1 pounds, you switch to SF, or the surcharge has ended, the total changes. Pay against the checkout page.
Measure weight and size before you pay
- A waybill under 1 pound is billed as 1 pound. Each piece has a 0.2-pound minimum, then rounds up to the next 0.1 pound.
- The page formula for volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres, divided by 6,000, then multiplied by 2.2046. Above five times actual weight, the parcel can be billed on volumetric weight, surcharged, refused or left unsent.
- United States, Canada and the United Kingdom: no side over 140 cm, and the three sides no more than 250 cm combined. Japan and Korea: 100 cm and 200 cm. Other warehouses: 80 cm and 150 cm.
- One waybill can combine at most 10 pieces, counted by tracking number. The warehouse may repack without notice.
Storage has two clocks
The overseas-warehouse help article says those warehouses do not store parcels. After a consolidated parcel reaches the Hong Kong warehouse, storage is free for 30 days and then HK$10 per piece per day. That help article says a parcel is treated as abandoned after 45 days, without further notice. Another block on the pricing page says extended storage is HK$10 a day for up to 15 days, and abandonment after 46 days. The 45-day and 46-day wordings do not match, so ask support which clock applies to your parcel before you pay.
Pickup points use another clock: Buy&Ship points say 3 or 7 working days, an SF point 2 days, an SF locker 1 day, OK stores 2 days, and Cainiao or a post office 3 working days.
What the free cover pays
| Event | What the free cover says | What it leaves out |
|---|---|---|
| Parcel lost in full | Up to US$100 a parcel, paid in Hong Kong dollars at the exchange rate | Only some items inside the parcel are missing |
| Damage | Up to 30% of the shipping fee, returned as points | Points are not cash, and their use period is separate |
| Claim deadline | Email within 3 days of delivery, with the invoice, dispatch email and photos | A late claim, missing papers, or a claim they cannot confirm |
| Returns | Free cover does not return or replace the goods | The seller's own returns rule is a different scheme |
Compensation uses the lower of the declared value and the proof of purchase. Fragile goods and liquids have limited cover. Buy&Ship Plus is a separate paid plan and is not part of this free example.
A referral credit and the shipping fee are separate amounts

FAQ
- Is HK$24 a pound every overseas warehouse?
- The pricing page lists Lai Chi Kok pickup at HK$24 a pound. Other pickup points, SF, Cainiao, the post office and business delivery publish different prices, and Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy and Australia also have a HK$1-a-pound fuel surcharge.
- Can a China parcel and a US parcel share one box?
- The pricing page says China forwarding and overseas forwarding cannot be combined into one parcel.
- Does the free cover pay for items missing inside the box?
- No. The free cover says it pays only when the whole parcel is lost. A partial loss inside the parcel is excluded. The cap for a full loss is US$100.
- How soon must a claim be filed?
- The free cover says within 3 days of delivery, with proof of purchase, the seller's dispatch email and photos. Missing papers can mean the claim is refused.
- How long can a parcel stay in the Hong Kong warehouse?
- The consolidation help article says 30 free days, then HK$10 per piece per day, and abandonment after 45 days. The pricing page also has a 46-day wording, so confirm which one applies before you order.
